There will be - 200 lap Truckers race both nights held
long with Mini Cup Pro Divison & Juinor Division - This
is a Charity Race on behalf to help raise money for the
Hopkins Family to help out with medical bills etc....
Their 9 yr. old son Tommy Hopkins who is facing a
possible terminal illness.. Tommy was diagnosed first
with ( ADRENALEUKODYSTROPHY ) known as ALD
...This disease causes his body to be unable to break
down long - chain fatty acids and eventually causes
them to live in a vegetative state.. That was in Nov,
then recently they were told it causes Addison's
disease, a disorder of the adrengal glands. This
disease effects one in 17,000 males between age 4 &
10 Tommy will go into Shands Hospital on July 21st.
for 8-10 days of chemotheraphy followed by a core
blood transplant operation. He will be in the Hospital
for 3-4 mths. The bills are over whelming and they
need your help..
Several people have allready pledged their support
with donations...
Many drivers have allready indicated they will donate
their purse money back..The truck race will pay a
minimum of $2000.00 to win & $200.00 to start..
